"Fuck!" I whisper in surprise, pulling my hand back to my mouth and sucking my ring finger. The metallic taste of blood seeps into my mouth and I slowly examine the pad of my red finger. There's a shallow hole where I broke the skin, some blood still lingering there. What the hell? Cautiously this time, I find where I started to pull back on a hanger to see what pricked me. A broken hanger piece? A sharp metal point from the rack? No. Not even close. It's the shirt Danny bought, in the same olive-green color. And wrapped into its hanger is a beautiful, fresh rose, with a piece of paper taped to the top of the prickly stem. Confused, I take the rose from the hanger and pull the note close to my eyes. It's in the same scribbled handwriting like the one I found in her locker. I read it, look at the rose, then read it again and again and again: You two were so close. What happened? All because she killed a man? And to think... It could've been you. Ryan Steel should have a good life. He has a good family, a beautiful girlfriend, great friends, and popularity. But none of that matters, because his best friend Danielle Green might have killed someone. Danny disappeared in September, along with a successful young businessman known as James Wentz. After two months of finding nothing, they show up- but Danny has a gun and Wentz is dead. Unable to resist, Ryan is sucked up into the dark secrets surrounding Danny. Did she kill Wentz? No one seems to know, except for whoever is lurking in the shadows and taunting Ryan. He quickly realizes that there is more to the story than he knows and ends up tied into the mess of the unknown, all while juggling a jealous girlfriend, drugs, gangs... How do you defend someone when they never deny being a criminal?

He watched from a distance as she played. Running through the park, chasing something from her imagination, he'd never seen her so happy. It was the day of her sixth birthday. Her long red hair and blue eyes along with her bright purple party dress caught the eyes of many visiting the park that day. He'd been watching her for weeks, he knew that today was the day. Should he go back without the girl, he'd surely be punished. With them was where she was meant to be. The girl wandered farther away from the crowd, dancing and spinning to music that only she could hear. The family was completely unaware, still preparing food on their picnic table. The girl's mother carefully placed six candles into the brightly frosted cake. They were distracted and he knew that it was time. She kneeled beside a tree picking clovers from the ground, out of sight of everyone. No one even even glanced in their direction. In only a second he was beside her. She didn't know what was happening until it was too late. He knew it was what he had to do. So he took her. ~ ~ ~ After twelve years of training in one of the most elite assassination groups in the world, Bella Price is returned to the life she was forced to forget. When the agency she was raised in is exposed and taken down by the American government, she is placed back into the arms of the family that she once had. Having forgotten the feeling of true emotion, she fights to regain the humanity that was once ripped away from her.

The banging starts again but this time a lot louder. I can hear the girls screaming up stairs. I pick up my phone and dial 911. "Hello this is 911 what's your emergency?" "There are a bunch of wolves outside my house. I think they have rabies or something I'm not sure." The banging gets louder and I can feel my face getting wet from the tears. "Mamm did you say wolves are there?" "Yes Yes there are wolves about 10 of them out here in my front yard. I need help!" I hang up the phone and sit on the end of the stair case. I close my eyes and start praying. Something I haven't done in a while. "I have faith, there is a god. I have faith, there is a god, I have faith, there is a god." I repeat over and over. The glass breaks and I start screaming. I stand up and try to scramble up the stairs. The door comes falling down and there are about 10 wolves standing in front of my door. A woman emerges and walks toward me. She snaps her fingers and the pretty brown wolf is in front of me. Right there by my face. "Ridanna you know what to do." Her teeth is wrapped around my neck and she sinks them in. I try to scream but it's hard to. At first it hurts but now the pain no longer exists. I feel like there is no such thing as pain and I feel light as if I can float off the Earth. Fine as hell white boy with a pro-black activist fall for each other.
