Anyway eight of us were already well known amongst the small town we knew, then one star filled night, a comet shot through the sky, some way it was natural, I beg to differ I was more or less shot out for the sky by someone who would way later be one of my best friends....yeah I know, we dont have much time....trust me kid, keep him close...you will need him more than you think...along with the girl and the bug......what? Cant I make up my-OW! ok ok I get it no need to hit me, god.....anyway you better get going now! The Day We Left Earth
If we stayed there any longer, we would have died. Earth was no longer our home, but instead a barren waste land from which we had to escape. Its calm blue oceans were replaced by big empty pits, and the green grass which used to cover our planet has now died, leaving all ground we tread on brown. The sun was getting too close to earth. I wasn't special, I wasn't a marine or a scientist sent here from earth to study Pandora, I was a behaviorist-some say behaviorists are scientists too; but the brain isn't made up of mathematics and hope, it's like the roots of trees. Forever speaking but unheard. I study people's brains and their behavior. I don't look at it with hope and faith. I'm nothing special, not really. When I was accepted to help with Project Pandora, I was exhilarated. This was my big break, something to get me out there. I never expected for it to spiral into my life unprofessionally-become personal, emotional. That I would have to fight in a war between man and alien, choose between my own people and a clan of beings that accepted me-welcomed me, trained and made me one of them.
