In the conquered land of Enoss, Samael is a mage living in the slums of the capital city, Archill. Starvation is a daily threat, as his immense magical powers eat away at him from the inside. He is also attuned to the whispering of demons, as all mages are. And the voices are as hungry as Samael himself.
The invasive Serandan military occupies Archill, and magic is now illegal. On the run from the ever vigilant mage-hunters, the Knights of Soma, Samael must find a way to survive in the worst conditions. But little does he know, the Knights of Soma would be the least of his problems.
When disaster strikes, he has no choice but to rise and seek opportunity in the ashes. Will his powers be his salvation, or will he be another meal for the crows?

Golden Child [Rewriting]
#NaNoWriMo 2016 Book One in the Tales from the Filii Aurea Series IN THE BEGINNING, they say, the Aetherei Matrem fell in love with a Celestial Being, and produced a line of children like none other, each with their own special abilities, and each with ichor flowing through their veins. They were her Filii Aurea, her Golden Children, and they were to inherit the earth. A couple centuries down the line, and the Filii Aurea are struggling to stay alive. With the great Aurean war and Aziel Aro committing perpetual genocide, they're desperate to save their race. Avani Sai and Nuri Bachmann need to find the last remaining descendent of the great Milo Aro, and possibly the last cursed Child, and defeat Aziel Aro. That might not be their biggest concern, however. A charming stranger from the Sovereign Capital and a dark force lurking in the streets seem to pose a bigger threat than perpetual genocide.Complete

It explains everything later on. This is my Camp NaNoWriMo story, and I love the support people have given me for writing it in a month. I did completely finish writing it, and I finished the first wave of editing. I love you all so much, and thanks for reading!! :D Cover by BlueRoses0123!!!Complete
