Rain never thought that it would turn out to be that way. The occurrence and development of events by chance in a happy or beneficial way was something she thought wasn't made for her -- a very rational mind. Until she found herself with the aptitude for making desirable discoveries by accident, or maybe it was just that one time that changed it all.

The Hawaiian Special Forces
This is the story I'm writing for NaNoWriMo 2015. The goal: 50,000 word RAW draft written entirely in the month of November. Unlike most of my stories, which I prefer to edit before posting, I'm actually going to post updates to this at the end of each day in chapter-sized chunks. The idea behind this story is that a terrorist attack in the near future causes the US to go hyper-isolationist, to the point that it abandons Hawaii and Alaska to fend for themselves. They do, forming the United Pacific States (maybe with a few other island countries). Hawaii then goes on to turn itself into the new world police with stealthy, genetically modified cyber-soldiers. I'm marking this story as mature because there will be action scenes, and probably some interesting perspectives on nudity and relationships. I'm not planning on anything explicit, but this won't be a kids book. Validated winner at 50,040 words!Concluída
Illogies Un
A few seasons ago, I participated in NaNoWriMo with the goal of writing a story a day for the entire month of November. I was able to do this and ended up with well over 50,000 words for the month. This book ended up with around 43K words, but it is missing a few stories. I didn't want to put anything that goes with "Pearls of the Mother" in the "Illogies." Each day I sat down to write, I had a different mood or something else I was thinking about, and I let that guide my writing process. I think a couple of these may end up with follow-on stories or maybe even books of their own. I hope you enjoy these; I know I do.Concluída
Charlie's Hero (#nanowrimo2015)
Charlotte sat there unmoving, tears falling down her cheeks. She could not do anything as she watched her sisters casket go down into the ground. She did not look to her older brothers for comfort, she did not look to her parents. She just sat there and sadly watched her sister and bestfriend, her twin, as she got burried in the ground. Her heart felt like there was an empty void in it, a missing-or rather-a dead piece. The sky opened up ontop of them, though non of them cared, they welcomed the rain and what it brought. For Charlotte, it meant new life. A life without her twin. Charlotte's never done anything without her sister before, but now she's going to have to. ~~ Charlotte grew up with her twin being her best friend, the one who helped her through the toughest times in her life. They had a connection that astounded people.The pain of losing someone so close, of someone who was literally like your other half, is one that no one should have to experience. But Charlotte did. Now, after her twin's death, Charlotte will not only have to live life without her twin, but learn to get close to people again. With struggles of self worth and depression, Charlotte has a hard time accepting her life as it now is. She even gains an unlikely friend but is hesitant to even let him in her life. Will this person and her family help Charlotte cope with her life as it is now? Who will save her from herself?Concluída

Will is a slut. At least, according to everyone else she is. With a past that both defines her and won't let her go, Will has had enough of the name-calling and assumptions. She's decided to use it all as fuel to get what she wants: to take down Reid Reynolds. Reid is a "bad boy" (a term that makes Will's eyes cross into oblivion) and he represents everything that Will despises. He is a TA in one of her university classes, making her plan even easier. She has an entire year to follow through with her agenda. No problem. It's all under control. Except it isn't. When women start getting assaulted on campus, everything Will is running from begins to catch up with her. She will inevitably have to face it--and decide if getting revenge on the bad boy will actually get her what she wants. "I walked over to where Aaron was sitting on the ground, kneeling so that I was face-to-face with him. He was wearing a blank expression on his face so I guess he didn't really care if I kissed him or not. I took in a deep breath before taking his face in both of my hands and swooping down to kiss him. At first, I was so nervous I didn't realize that we were already kissing but after a few moments, I realized how soft his lips felt on my own. Before I can register it I felt him moving against me. I would have gotten off of him but I realize that he wasn't moving to get away from me. No, He was moving his lips against mine." °°°°° Aiden Moore isn't extraordinary. He has average looks, he is OK with sports, and his only strong point is that he is smart (although that doesn't mean much to his fellow classmates). And, of course, his virgin ass has never had a girlfriend, let alone a crush. It seemed as if he would never find someone. That was until he met her, Scarlett Hale. She was the most beautiful girl you will ever meet. Kind, sweet, and one of the few people with a higher GPA then him, she was amazing and Aiden imagined that she would be all his. Once Aiden gets rid of her boyfriend, Aaron Tyler. The most annoying guy you will ever meet, Aiden gags just thinking about him. The man is smoking hot and makes Aiden's dreams of getting the girl to seem very impossible. So what would happen if Aiden gets involved with the wrong person? Will Aiden get the girl? Will he fall short? Or will he fall into the arms of a guy who is in love with the girl he loves? _______________________________________ WARNING: First book EVER! The best part about this book is that it has some funny bits and introduces you to characters I use for a while. The year is 2096. Computers, and other recognition software with them, have grown infinitely more powerful since the 2010s. Business is thriving. People are running about, living their lives, and generally enjoying themselves with their new 'smart' devices, which, for better or for worse, are actually living up to their name. Finally. Enter outcast Vincent Schorennherr. Her parents [emphasis on her] parents wanted a boy, no luck on that account, and they let her know that every day. You think that's not so bad? Think again. "Sorry, Vincent, but you're going to school anyways, flu or no flu." Well, just before first period, a 'conveniently'-timed password-entry prompt pops on on her phone screen, right as she: 1) Presses the sensor, and 2): sneezes, spreading rhinoviruses all over herself and her phone. She wipes the phone off and goes to class,thinking nothing more of the incident until the next day, when she goes to turn it on and gets a kill screen: "Fatal Error 81-141. The flu's contagious, didn't you know that? Bye now, gone to play Caesar- Veni, vidi, vici and all that." With that, her phone blinks off, and within hours, other phones begin to follow suit. With panic on the rise, and global tensions rapidly following suit, can Vincent and her friends find the cure before it's hard shutdown? **NaNoWriMo 2017** Complete in the sense that I'll probably never write any more of this story. I might edit it someday, though. I had a decent idea when I started, but that quickly went out the window.Concluída

She wanted to test a theory. He wanted to win a bet. What could possibly go wrong? ------------------------------------------------- Why was this shit so much easier in the books?! The Macy Anderson in me would spit out the alternatives to every curse word known to man. The Ruby Buchannan in me would knee him in the groin. The Mia Hastings in me would lunge at him first, taking him on that table right there and now. The Haley Geller in me would confuse the fuck out of him by asking way too many questions. Hell! Even the Tessa Young in me would do something, like beg him to come at me with her desperate but wild ass... But the Lola Dino in me -aka the me, me- just stands there frozen, contemplating a very important decision in her head: fuck, fuck, fuck! Who do I act as next?! Um, how about yourself for a change? My conscience decides NOW to be a smartass. Yeah, right? Like that's ever worked before. Not even having the slightest clue of what to do, I wait for him to make the first move instead, and then I'll just go from there. So, I wait. And I wait. And I wait. And I wait. I wait as we remain staring at one another -I like a deer in headlights and he like a predator stalking his prey- for what seems like forever. Atticus Deane was just a boy; a broken, misguided boy. It was an accident; no one told him how to play life's game. He had to make up his own rules, but where did that get him? In an abusive relationship with his older brother and all his bad friends. That wasn't what he bargained for. But Atticus left that life behind; he was rebuilding a new apartment and doing the same with a new life. Well, trying. Atticus and his brother never got along after their parents left. He never spoke a word to his brother if it weren't mean and cruel, which was why a request to join in on his big brother's 'fun' and 'games' was a surprise to everyone, much less himself. But when things are taken way too far, Atticus is suddenly running and ends up at the doorstep of an unusual compound that sparks something in his instincts. Taking refuge away from the poison of others, Atticus knew that he couldn't hide forever, but he'd do anything to be left alone so he didn't have to hide anymore.
