During the year of 2060, Congress passes an act in which Hispanic people are put into concentration camps and sold as slaves. Among these people is Maria del Rosario Reyes. She is an American girl with Hispanic roots. She finds herself in a struggle to survive with her family and tries to keep her Latino roots alive. Along the way she meets Samuel Collins, the son of her owner, and he falls completely in love with her. Can the Latino culture survive this tradegy? Will Maria del Rosario and Sam make it?
