Mt. Sensan-Ghi
A collection of poems and short stories interwoven in a larger narrative that served as a way for me to work through burnout. The tale of Estavir is a metaphorical dive into my burned out mind as he searches for deeper meaning and climbs Mt. Sensan-Ghi filled with trials to test his heart. This is my first published work of fiction. It was conceptualised during a burnout I experienced back in 2017. With support from family, friends and a professional with whom to talk, I tried working through the burnout over the period of a year. Decadent
My hand slaps against my mouth as I try to shut myself up. Don't make too much noise...or he'll hear you. A vehicle's door opens then slams shut. I don't hear footsteps...but as the minutes go by I begin to hear them; the footsteps get louder and louder and louder, matching the sound of my thundering heart. That's when I see his shadow cast over the ditch...over the place where I tried to hide. "Well," he says with a smile in his voice. "I wonder where he could've gone...the footprints stop here...so I wonder if he just...disappeared?" My body begins to tremble. I can feel it now. The pain. I can feel the pain already. He jumps down into the ditch...he stands directly in front of me, with his back facing me. My hand presses harder against my mouth as I try to suppress my whimper, but it's way too late now. But his body tenses up when he hears it. He laughs bitterly as he turns around slowly, and his eyes cut through my camouflage easily. "There you are."Complete

"Fuck, why do you always make things so hard Rayne?" he stood there with an intense frown on his face. "What do you mean Spencer?" I crossed my arms. "You always run away," he now held a sad face. I was hesitant. "We both know this will never work let alone the consequences" He walked closer and lifted my chin, forcing me to look at him. "I could care less about the damn outcome." he made direct eye contact with me. "I- I think I fucking love you." Rayne has always been the golden child of the family, always tamed but not yet impressed with the opening of her life. I was sitting in my car high as shit and I heard a car and saw the headlights beaming on my car. Please don't be him. He came by the door and pulled it open Fuck I left it unlocked . He covered my mouth to drag me and put me in the 2010 Ford Mustang. I froze in shock that it happened all over again . He sped off and I turned to him just watch his face contorted every which way. He grabs the steering wheel tighter with the white of his knuckles showing. He glanced over at me who looked away facing forwards sitting hunched over in my seat. My hands were clammy and sweat began to form on the back of my neck . He shifted his focus back on the road once he hit the freeway he changed lanes by zooming in between . When we arrived at his houseI knew the drill I got out was closing the door behind me. I sat down on the couch, hands in my lap fidgeting. He got a fireball and popped it open. "You said you wanted this," He reminded me. It was true and I hated that my body reacted the way it did . I squeezed my thighs tighter together to relieve the need for any intimate contact. "I know" I sighed, my head hung low defeated. He glanced at my thighs and set his bottle down. He reached over his hand, glided up and done my thigh like butter. My breath became short, he scraped me with his nails and my head rolled back.

Axel may be adored and worshipped by his peer-but he hates people, except 5. So when a beautiful but closed off girl suddenly enters his group. He is not welcoming of the mysterious beauty despite the pull they both feel. •••• WARNING: This was written many moons ago. I have decided to put it back up because of a large request from readers. However, I was a kid when I wrote this so take it with a grain of salt. *** Like a deer in head lights, I freeze and watch as the car comes towards me expecting to get hit. But to my surprise, the car swerves to the side slightly next to me and comes to a stop. I take a deep breath I didn't know I was holding at the driver's side door swings open and a very pissed off Axel steps out. "Thank god," I mumble and place my hands on my knees to catch my breath. "Blaze?" He says and I hate it. I hate how he says my name as if it's his. Like he knows it's the only thing I want to hear, him calling out to me, looking at me, focused to me. It's the first time in my life I wanted someone's attention so badly I didn't care how I got it. And that was too dangerous for me to hold onto. "Are you insane or some shit? I could have killed you!" He says and starts to walk towards me. I take a big breath and step back away from him, "s-stop! Axel," I stutter still panting. It's then he notices the blood on my hands and shirt. "Is that blood?" He asks staring at my shirt and I take another step back. "Stop, stay b-back," I try to say confidently but I can't even breath right. Realizing he won't listen I start to turn around planning to make a break for it. "Don't run from me Blaze it won't go well," he growls reading my thoughts causing me to freeze in my spot. "Do not ever think you can get away from me."Complete
Our Story
As they were driving home around one in the morning, Jewel suddenly reached for Maze's hand. "Maze... let's not go home yet. Let's go somewhere." Maze glanced at her. "But it's past midnight, Jewel. Everything's closed." Jewel let go of her hand and looked away, disappointed, staring out the window. They continued in silence. But instead of taking the usual route home, Maze veered toward the freeway. She rolled down the windows, letting the cool night air rush in. Jewel looked at her, a small smile forming. She turned up the radio and stretched her hand out into the wind. It became one of those drives-quiet, wordless, and full of meaning. The kind where the road stretched endlessly, the wind carried their thoughts, and their stolen glances said everything they couldn't.Complete
