A story that weaves its fabric through the history of man and jumps and leaps around places and times spinning and twisting like a mad trout on a line. A tale of power, corruption, magic, honour and treachery; a tale of travellers and places they travel.

This book draws on historic events and it is always hard to know whether they are truth, a version of the truth or fiction. References to living people or those who lived are made with no claim to the character of the person. All other characters in this book are fictional; I hope.

Finally, to all those who keep the Roma story alive, the wonderful web sites that exist in spite of any prejudices that would stop the true story from getting through, I thank you all. The research and knowledge these sites (too many to mention here) offered was invaluable.

To all that read this book, go look for yourself and learn a little about one of the oldest civilizations in recorded history.

The Roma are also known as Gypsies, Rom, Rroma and Romani; the Roma are travelers.

This is a work in progress and I will post the chapters are I write them. Sit back and enjoy this journey; become a traveler with us.
