I took his hands into mine, his eyes only watering more when he looked down. A tear slowly rolled down his cheek as he looked down, so I wiped it off with the pad of my thumb. My hand rested on his jaw, then I gently made him look at me.
"Seán... What's wrong? Why are you crying?"
He sniffled and engulfed me in a tight, sad but passionate hug. "I have to leave for Ireland in a few days." He said, his voice cracking.
I felt my eyes water, realizing that he was going across seas, hundreds of miles away. I hugged him tighter, our tears soaking the others shirt. "W-What... am I going to do without y-you?" I asked, my voice barely a whisper. "I'm going to miss you so much."
He pulled back a little, a look of realization on his face. "You might not have to miss me."
My eyebrows knitted together and I shook my head violently, "Of course I'm going to miss you, why wouldn't I?"
A small smile formed on his face, but stray tears that were left in his eyes ran down his cheeks when he blinked.
"Run away with me."
