Hermione has liked Draco since fourth year but every time she tries to get close to him, he pushes her away. In sixth year Hermione attempts to use Amortentia on him. When Draco doesn't show the effects, Hermione realizes why it's not working. Draco's love for Harry is too strong to be persuaded.
