The mythical Gosei, a powerful being who has been watching over the Earth, appears to the five middle schoolers and chooses them to become the new Power Rangers, known as the Angelforce.
Gosei explains to the team that they have been chosen to protect the Earth from the forces of evil, but he doesn't reveal that the evil force they will be fighting is the Gorma Tribe.
The team is hesitant at first, but they eventually accept their new roles as Power Rangers. They begin to learn how to use their new powers and work together as a team.
As they start their journey as Power Rangers, they are unaware that they are fighting the Gorma Tribe, who seek to conquer the Earth. The team doesn't want to dishonor the legacy of the Grid Warriors, who sacrificed themselves to save the city, so they keep their true enemy a secret.
Throughout the series, the Power Rangers Angelforce will face off against the Gorma Tribe, fighting to protect the Earth and its people. Along the way, they will learn more about their powers, their enemies, and themselves.
