By sharing how my family has come to terms with the diagnosis of Type 1 Diabetes for both my husband and our only child, I hope to encourage other families in the same situation to maintain a positive attitude and not let the diagnosis hamper their enjoyment of a full and active life. I also want to help those not personally affected by this chronic, incurable condition to understand what it's like to live with it day to day. I donate all the royalties from my ebook, available on Amazon, to JDRF to help further the search for a cure. I'll be publishing a print edition, with new material added, for World Diabetes Day 2014. If you'd like to keep informed and updated about this book and other diabetes-related projects I'm involved in, please visit my author website, www.authordebbieyoung.com or follow me on Twitter at @DebbieYoungBN
