Joy spent a lot of time alone as a child. Her only childhood friend was a mysterious boy who claimed to be a butterfly. The very butterfly in fact, that she had rescued earlier that same summer. 

Time passes, and Joy begins to question the existence of her first real friend. Was he even real? After having to back move home during university to take care of the property her grandmother, her only living relative, left her. Joy is visited by the same boy - now a young man. He tells her that she must marry him as she had vowed when they were young, and help him save the forest she played in as a child. If this is not strange enough, the boy has brought with him three other men attempting to woo her for her hand in marriage. In a world full of lies and secrets who can Joy trust?
