I looked at his outstretched hand, unsure of what to feel or think in this unexpected moment.

"I don't know why, but I do" I accepted his hand and that was all it took for him to lift me up and start running as if we were being chased.

And for the first time in a long time, my heart was beating not out of fear but of excitement.

I just hoped I wouldn't regret trusting this handsome stranger.
