There was once a boy
He had wings that were made of wax and feathers
His father told him not to fly too high up or his wings would melt, but this rebellious teenage boy did not listen

When it was time for him to fly, he flew high
He got ahead of himself
He was so captivated by the sun all he wanted to do was get closer
He got too close and just as his father said he started to burn
His wings melted and he came crashing back down to earth

God, she was just so precious I almost couldn't stand it.

I removed my hand from her cheek and rerouted it to sit on her hip.

"My Eden"
I mumbled softly, getting lost in her hazel eyes that were pooling with emotion.

She blushed and looked to the ground as she started to fidget with her hands.

As I sighed in content as I wrapped my other hand around her tiny waist and pulled her into me, her body now pressed against mine and her head laying on my chest.

"All mine"
I mumbled once more, tightening my grip around her. 
Her body relaxed against mine and I felt her small hands clutch the velvet fabric of my shirt.
