I stepped into the room and saw them sitting alone in the corner. I walked over to them warily.
"What's the point in living?" they questioned once I was sitting down beside them on the cold, hard floor.
"There are lots of reasons," I replied gently.
"Give me one good reason to stay alive."
"Love?" I whispered into their ear.
"Who would ever love me? After everything I've done."
"Me, I love you, and I always will. The past doesn't matter anymore," I paused, "nobody's faultless."
They closed their eyes and their bottom lip trembled as they took in several shaky breaths of air. "Prove it," they suddenly looked up, their expression fierce, "prove that you really do love me."
"I would do anything for you. I would kill for you. Hell, I would die for you."
"Well then you had better start dying," they stood up, walked over to the chest of drawers that was nestled in the corner of the room, pulled out a gun and pressed it lightly to their head.
I jumped up, screaming at them to put the gun down. My entire universe was moving as if in slow motion as I lunged towards them.
"I'm so sorry, it was all my fault," they whispered.
And then they pulled the trigger.

'The night was alive with silence. I moved through it like a shadow, black leather gloves tight on my hands, boots soft against the grass. My gas mask hid my face, leaving only darkness where my eyes should be. The world narrowed to a single point: the house ahead. Tonight, it would belong to me. The farmhouse rose stark and white beneath the moonlight, silent except for the occasional grunt of a pig or the low hum of a cow. They were unaware. They were insignificant. I crouched behind the hedge, eyes scanning, senses alert. Every detail mattered: the flicker of light across the curtains, the faint rustle of movement inside, the way a shadow shifted across the floor. She was there. Oblivious. Popcorn in hand, murmuring to herself as the television flickered. Every motion was a note in tonight's symphony, and I was the conductor. I studied her, cataloging. Timing. Patterns. Fear. She didn't notice me yet, and that was perfect. Patience was everything. One sound, one misstep, and it could all unravel. I rang the doorbell once. Silence. Again. Still nothing. I Fell in Love with a Bad Boy
CRINGE WARNING! First book I ever wrote on here!! -- "Sometimes the person who you are willing to take a bullet for is the person behind the gun." I stood peering over the cold lifeless body that lay before my eyes. I had always thought of death the enemy, but right now, I blessed it upon the person who is now at peace. Sometimes you don't need to be the smartest, or the fastest, but you do need to be wisest. They say the blood runs deeper than water, and I believe it, because even though the people that we love can turn on us and begin to hate us, they are only human, meaning that soon they will begin to see how short life really is and how it is not to be wasted. People who seem perfect and they look like they have no floors'; they are the people who are suffering, like I was. But I found my savior in the most uncommon place. He was able to look through my mask, he saw the cracks, and tried to fix the broken girl that hid away deep inside the girl who only wanted to be seen as 'fine'. I slowly began to find comfort and safety in him, and I did the same to him. We were two broken people becoming whole. Someone once said when you pass, if you can count your true friends on one hand you are beyond lucky, and I even though I did not like the person that lay before me, I know that he once had true friends, including me. Is that what he had said. he's right, and I had just the thing to do. I'd find Ellie's killer and make them pay. Bailey is just a normal teenage girl, never wished for things to be different, never wanted a more exciting life, but that's exactly what she gets when he best friend is murdered and the police don't seem to care.
