Life is something Cassandra never gave much thought to. A bad life has brought her up to be a tough teenager. She knows all the bad things that could happen, she's seen it all and done it all. Doesn't care about anyone and no one cares about her, it's what Cassandra is used to. It's all she knows. 

Everything changes when she makes a bad mistake and gets in trouble with the law. Everything goes downhill, or maybe uphill. Spending twenty-five hours of community service isn't something Cassandra is looking forward to. But what she doesn't know is that in those twenty-five hours her life will completely change.

I know some of you would say 'Just because everything is changing, doesn't mean it has never been this way before' but this isn't Narnia we are talking about. This is real life. And in real life bad endings are usualized. Unfortunately, we got no Aslan to help us. We got ourselves. Studies showed that we are less than twelve years away from being unable to undo our mistakes. It is when three more wholesome and nicer girls from school Kimberly, Maggie and Sophie land a job at the coffee shop is when Laura realizes who her true friends are. Then one night tragedy strikes, which shakes up Laura's world once again. But like they say when one door closes in life another one will always open.

Some may call this path a rollercoaster, some describe it as a bumpy road or rocky mountains. Each of these description tell us the same thing; life is tough. For Ava O'Connor, life wasn't so tough. Not at the beginning. Her parents were rich businesspeople who could give her and her three sisters whatever they wanted. But as with all stories, something changed. That is life, it makes us lust about things we can't have and if we do, we are trapped. This is a journey about a girl with a past which isn't exactly filled with flowers but isn't exactly filled with storms too. And has traveled to let it go. It's just one year. Where will a year with Williams take her? We all want things, we crave them, we need them to breathe and carry on. But can we have them? That is what changes lives It changed Emmy's Highest rank #82 in teen fiction

No one knew it, but her father was a high functioning alcoholic that often took his anger out on his family. With her older sister now in college, it had turned to her more often. Laying low in general was a good strategy. Across town, Ryan was prepping for his final year in high school. While he wasn't the stereotypical quarterback of the football team, he did fit into the popular crowd. His sports of choice included basketball and soccer, either of which might line him up for a scholarship next year. Ryan had a group of close friends and a lot of adoring acquaintances. It wasn't easy juggling his athletics and keeping the grades up, but he was just that good. The supporting parents didn't hurt either. It might be a cliché romance, but it will be fun to see what the year and beyond holds. ------------------------------------------ This is a story I wrote years ago, or at least partially wrote. As I transcribe it here, I have tried to update it a bit and give the characters/story more depth than what I had when I was younger. Hopefully it all gets pulled together!
