(Your/Name) is a female student from Tenru High in America who is learning Japanese as her foreign language. Karasuno High School and Tenru High do an exchange every year sending American students to Karasuno High School for a month during the school year and the Japanese students who are taking Advanced English, meaning they are wanting to learn the language, visit America in return for a month. To be able to visit the other country the students have to host one of the American or Japanese students.

Tsukishima, who is only taking Advanced English for jobs, is forced to sign up for the hosting after his mom sees the letter he brought home from his teacher. The day before his host student is to arrive he gets a letter from his teacher telling him that he has to host a female student due to not enough females who are hosting from his class. Despite him being a boy, his teachers says he is smart and trustworthy so he has nothing to worry about.
