"She stood still, listening to his sick theories about her family. She did not want to believe they were serial killers, they had denied it. Rosaline did, at least. And contrary to those promises, this stranger had the nerve to disagree, to tell her they were not so innocent. It seemed like the whole world was giving her signs and she refused to take them as real. She just wanted to be able to carry on with her life, to make sure nothing as cruel took place in the past and live her stupid teenage dream. But instead of that, every time she closed her eyes, she saw Rosaline from that picture. Young, beautiful, smiling. With long red wavy hair and red lipstick, with a handsome brunette next to her. She saw her in those leather tight-fitting overalls, leather jacket and glans. She saw her holding an axe, a knife, a gun or a machete. She saw her husband in his white long-sleeved shirt, covered in blood stains. She saw a body, hundreds of bodies, a whole sea of them and the couple standing right above it, like the king and his queen." After ditching her toxic friends, 17 year old Zoella comes back to school to a new rumour going around - her grandparents are said to be serial killers. She delves deep into the past of her ancestors along with her cousins. They try their best to be cautious and not get into trouble, but there's someone already lurking on them. Zoey balances the hardships of a haunting past, the dangers of a criminal case and the confusion between what she knows and what she feels. She encounters complex people along the way, one of them quickly and unexpectadly becoming special to her. Emotions have never been her strong point, she usually just ran away from them. This time, however, there is no escape route and she must face them in order to find out the truth about her family, and about who she really is.

CAUTION CONTAINS MATURE CONTENT. "Say it, Allison," he said, his voice low as he trapped me against the rough wall. A shiver ran down my spine, his voice pulling at me, the power in it making me want to do anything he asked. I shook my head, afraid my voice might betray me. His teeth lightly grazed my neck causing a sigh to get past my lips. I could feel him smile against my skin. He knew he was going to get what he wanted one way or another. I tried to slip away, but he grabbed my wrists, pinning them down tightly. He pressed his hard body against me. I was aware of every inch of him that was touching me. "Don't think you can just leave. We're not done yet." My stomach tightened at his words, the desire inside burning for him. My damn body at war with my mind yet again. He slid his hand up to the edge of my shorts, slowly working it's way up as his mouth trailed small nips from my neck to my collar bone and lower, stopping only when he reached the fabric. I could feel my resolve weakening as his hand reached its destination. "Say it," he demanded. I moaned, my head tipping back as he moved expertly. I wanted to say it then, I really did. But if I said the words, there was no going back. ***************** Allison Cole has just turned seventeen. Most girls would be excited, but she doesn't see it as anything special. She can now find her mate, wherever he is. But she doesn't put much stock in mates or true love. How could something like that be predetermined? Things only go from bad to worse when on that very day she discovers who her mate actually is. Will Allison be able to overcome her bleak thoughts about mates and accept hers? Or is the man bad enough to make her run away? Caught between her body, her mind, and what's best for her pack. Allison must make her decision. Is it worth it?

He then placed his hand on Lyla's chin and made her look at him. He then kissed her. It felt so good to be kissing his mate. It felt right. But Landon could kiss her to his heart's content when this was done, "this might hurt a bit darling, but before you know it, you will feel nothing but pleasure." Lyla felt her knees trembling with fear, "what? Let me go." Landon shook his head. He then looked at Lyla where her neck met her shoulder. He kissed it before he let his fangs elongate and he bit her. Lyla wanted to scream in pain as she felt Landon bite her. This was horrible. This was torture. But as soon as Landon's teeth had pierced her skin, Lyla felt nothing but pleasure. She felt happy. She felt warm and tingly inside and she was glad that she was pressed up against Landon. This was the most pleasurable feeling she had ever felt and Landon was right. Lyla screamed once more when Landon removed his teeth. All she felt was pain again and she slid down the wall and hugged her knees. What did Landon do to her? Did he want her to feel that much pain? And the pleasure was not enough for Lyla anymore, "what did you do to me?" "I marked you," replied Landon. "Marked me?" "Yes, darling. We have a bond now that can't be broken. You can run away, but you can't hide and I will always find you." Lyla Boyle never thought that she would be thrown into the world of werewolves, something she never believed in. But she was. And she never thought that she would be mated to an Alpha Wolf but she was. And now Lyla has to learn to live in a world that she never believed in and she didn't want to believe in it. With the turned wolves on the prowl for revenge, Lyla will be in danger, she will discover secrets that she never thought she would and maybe she will learn that it is easy to fall in love.
