River Hatten isn’t who she says she is. She isn’t the bad girl everyone sees. She isn’t the girl who fakes the bad grades, when, really on her report card is all A’s and B’s. She hates black and leather and wears it just to impress everyone. River isn’t like that at all. If she isn’t, then who is she? River is a singer. She’s a singer of emotion. Of soul. Of strength. River wants to go to college. She wants to pursue her dream. She wants to become the best she can be. But, if she tells her friends the truth, they’ll blow her off. But, if she doesn’t, she’s worried they’ll eventually find out on her their own and turn her back on her. Either way, her life will crumble. But, how can she manage to avoid both scenarios? With the help of a guitar soloist who goes by the name of, Josiah Campbell, River's able to make her dreams come true and show what's left of her that being the real you is so much better than putting on a one-person show.
