The Words We Don't Speak is a blog run by aspiring journalist, Sabrina Cherry, whom is a senior at Claybridge high school. While no one knows she's the face behind the blog, it seems to have taken the interest of the teens at her school: mostly because it offers individuals to post their problems anonymously for free, amateur advice.
When she revives a submission from someone that says they're going to commit suicide before graduation, she's in shock and doesn't know what to do. In mild desperation, she embarks in the journey to find this person and try to convince them otherwise.
(This is a novel about friendship, and the sheepskin mental illness wears. We often associate mental illness with a certain "look/appearance" that we don't acknowledge that it can affect anyone. Mental illness; depression has no appearance. It can look you straight in the eyes, say it's fine, and smile.)
Elliot Jensen and Elliot Fintry have a lot in common. They share the same name, the same house, the same school, oh and they hate each other but, as they will quickly learn, there is a fine line between love and hate.
