At the young age of only ten, Angie Duhart’s twin sister drowns. But Grace Duhart doesn’t completely die with her body. For six long years following that fateful day, nightmares follow Angie and dreadful memories lurk in the shadows of her mind. But ever so slowly, she realizes that the events of her nightmares are beginning to creep outside the walls of her mind and are beginning to haunt her reality. To Angie, it’s a horror movie come alive. She sees people that aren’t really there, she hears noises others don’t, things move that weren’t touched. Angie fears sanity is escaping her reach. And when she begins to understand her detached, Schizophrenic grandmother, the woman who swears Grace’s spirit still wanders the earth, she worries that she truly is insane. But then her therapist suggests a single word: Necromancer.

She had lived a life that wasn't her own. Every decision was made for her. At the end of the day though, she was still the one with the blood on her hands. To have the weight of abuse on your back is miserable. Especially when you're falling in love. She had been controlled by manipulation and religion her whole life. Her soulmate being a woman was unthinkable. With the constant humiliations of her life, she believed she was exactly what everyone wanted her to be. A power-hungry whore who wanted to steal someone else's mate. Life can be a cruel thing. A life that is not your own is even worse.
