~ For centuries Avians had been caught and killed for the own pleasure and entertainment of the humans and the Galran Empire. So cruelly mistreated to the point they vanished completely from existence. The last one seen was more than a hundred years ago.
    
    The Galra destroyed the rest of the evidence that they ever flew the sky's of the planet Arus. Burning all the books, scriptures and art work, the Avians were wiped from history too. Now they are merely a legend, a tale of the tongue for good yarns around the fire pit. 
    
    But for one little village boy, and son of the chief in command, they're still out there. With the story of there being a nest, Lance McClain has his heart set on finding it. Determined to bring back the beautiful creatures of the skies and learn where it was that his mother vanished off to. 
    
    And oh how lucky he is when he just so happens to stumble across one, injured, drowning and though he may never admit it - in dire need of his help.

Earth is saved from the Galra, and the Paladins of Voltron are the heroes of the Galaxy Garrison, well all except for Keith. He'd been kicked out before the war, and they didn't want him back. He's alone again. Lance, Pidge, and Hunk are employed by the Garrison, Shiro leads missions off world, Allura and Coran are establishing a new world for the Alteans who'd survived, and the Blade don't need him. Keith works in a coffee shop and gets by the best he can, on the little money he earns. This story is loosely based on the paladins of Voltron. I have not watched all the seasons and have changed the backstory of some characters. I do not own any of the characters in this story, and I do not own any of the artwork. There is smut, swearing, talk of rape, and self-harm in the story. I will not be putting disclaimers at the beginning of the chapters, so if you don't want to read it, move on to another story.
