The light from the torches barely light up the room. I sighed my body was tired and so was my mind. I wanted to sleep yet my eyes wouldn't shut. So I stared at the underground city I now call home. The buildings made of dirt, bricks and mud. The torches were scattered all around the city letting the people see in this dark home. The people talked as they walked down the street. They'd stop by shops to buy anything from food, clothing, jewelry anything they had. These people looked so happy they were real to. I pulled my knees up to my chest as I watched them amazed about how calm they were like nothing could bother them. I gently touched my hair and heard someone open the door. I glanced over my shoulder to see a tired Derek. His skin tight shirt showed off his arms and chest. "Your still up?" he asked as he walked over to me I nodded "couldn't sleep" I whispered. He nodded and sat next to me. "How's May?" he took my hand and gently rubbed his thumb on my palm "she's fine what about you?" I glanced at him. He had a playful look on his face. I sighed and rested my head on his chest. His heart was calming "are we safe?" my voices was quiet and shaking. He gently rubs my head "I hope so" he whispers and kisses my head. These few months have been hell but at lest we're out, out of that Glitch.
