In Limbo, the world after death and before rebirth, spirits are always coming and going, rarely staying around for long, but some do. Some become creatures of darkness, tormented by past lives they feed on the Light present in every spirit. When Lily enters Limbo, she realizes there is something more to her than she ever knew, and in discovering who she really is (or rather, was) comes to understand that her roll in Limbo will determine the fate of the world.
