Wikford College- prestigious, old and located in the frosty town of Wikford, Vermont is the epitome of what Sage Segovia fears:

Change.

But with change, comes acceptance. Sage is really good at that- she accepts the fact that she probably will never know her parents, she accepts her new found freedom and friends that come along with the college ride. And yet, she can't accept the chilling sensations that roll down her spine whenever she hears those howls outside her dorm building- those howls that lead right into the wooded areas on the outskirts of campus, visible from her window.

"Fuck no, that certainty will not due." ~ As Sage Segovia herself, would put it.

She's heard the joking stories of the mortal sacrifices and the not so joking stories of students gone missing that just so happen to take place in those very woods, and when she fears her new friends could be possible victims, she must piece together who, or what is lurking in those woods, alongside the howls.

Sage didn't expect much to happen her first year at Wikford College- but it all just seemed to happen.

College bites. In more than one way, unfortunately.

Ayn's Healing by AMHillmann

Ayn is a witch with healing powers. Shapeshifters have killed her parents and the only animals she cannot speak with are wolves. When she graduates from the Teaching Clan and finds out that she has to cross the River and live in the Wolves' Mountains for one year, she is less than amused. Kari, first-born shapeshifter Alpha, almost lost his wolf after the death of his mate. He could rise again and become the pack leader if only he would complete his training ...and find another suitable Luna. When he realizes that his second chance is his mother's guest, a daydreaming stubborn witch from across the River, he is less than amused. The bond may be a strong force, but can a witch walk the Wolves' Way and face the dangers it is paved with? **** "I need to stop..." I sigh, catching her wrist before her fingers reach the back of my neck, and I untangle her arm from me. She lingers on the recliner but now there is a big gap between our bodies. The warmth she left on my skin is quickly dissipating in the spring night. "Fine." Ayn stands and searches my eyes. Her scowl has my wolf whimper in submission and makes me curse my self-imposed hard line. "I am going to need your hoodie," she orders, stretching her hand out to me. "What?" I exclaim, briefly shocked by both the tone and the content of her words. My hands however are already executing her command, unzipping my jacket. "The last time I was able to sleep, I was covered with your hoodie. Your scent is comforting." She states it plainly as if it would be an obvious and broadly known fact. Like the Earth being round. Like two being a prime number. #1 in Healer - December 2021 #7 in Lycan - December 2022 ~95 000 words Cover photo by Jr Korpa via Unsplash Cover photo by Marc-Olivier Jodoin via Unsplash hi
