Fate Has a Cruel Sense of Humor

Cassandra Dalton had all her ducks in a row. She had a good job, great family and was getting married to one of most eligible bachelors in the upper east side. She was on top of the world. So she didn't believe it when they told her her sister was in a car wreck. Dealing with the grief of your older sister dying seemed like enough stress, but when she is given sole custody of her fifteen month old nephew Benjamin(Benji) it seems to be too much she can handle. Suddenly she is given the ultimate ultimatum, choosing between her groom-to-be and her blood, her Benji. She chooses Benji and vows that he would be the only man in her life and they pack up their bags, moving to the city for a fresh start. A new job, a new home, an entirely new life. She vows that Benji will be the only man in her life, her only love, but when she meets Adam billings, a man who was already scorned once by a woman and has no intention to be done so again, she starts to feel herself falling for his ever changing eyes... and their story begins.
