Not allowing a new set of thoughts to rest next to their own in your mind.

I looked up and what I saw froze my feet to the floor. I gasped harshly causing needles to stab at the back of my throat.

You say they deserve my respect
But, they're lying to you.
And you're lying to yourself.
Hold my respect.

COMPLETED✅ Two high school teenagers finding themselves, analyzing this ever changing world, and building love. This is the type of love you wish you found in high school but probably know way too well that it only exists as fiction. Today I'm turning my fiction to reality. ❣️•••❣️ Excerpt: Just as I was about to seek shelter under some building's roof, the tires of a car come to a halt, I wonder who might pity the lonely girl walking in the rain. The passenger window rolls down, and I spot the most unexpected person seated behind the wheel. "Get in" comes out his voice, and I must've stood there agape for a few moments because next comes his rhetorical question. "Are you getting in or continuing walking in the rain?" Eyebrows raised expectantly. Sweet Dreams
Monsters are everywhere, but the human ones are the worst. At least the Creatures of the Night don't kid almost families, friends, neighbors, coworkers. Once reborn they live in the night. Sure, they do all of the same twisted things that humans do to one another, but they don't hide who they are. When you see them you know death is coming. You can predict the sick things they will do to you. But when the monster looks human, you're blindsided. One minute you're in love with a guy and the next he's slitting your throat. Trust me, I speak from experience. Gruesome things that use to make me sick now makes my stomach flutter in joy. I traded charming grins and blue eyes for carved smilies and orbs of onyx. I traded sunlight for the glow of the moon. I gave up living amongst humans for creatures of the night. And I wouldn't go back for anything in the world. I am finally home. I've spent so much time running from monsters that it's my turn to do the chasing. Sweet Dreams...

"We don't get to choose our time. Death is what gives life meaning. To know your days are numbered, your time is short." - The Ancient One Ben had been happy once upon a time. But that was a long time ago. That was before his world was torn from his claws, leaving behind a broken, angry shell. Now a mercenary, he only seeks to endure the rest of his days trying to forget his misery. But that all changes when a client charges him with looking after a young girl. - I wrote this a few years ago, thought I'd give it a whirl online. It's pretty short, not quite novel worthy, but enough to get the job done, I think. And yes, this is basically The Last of Us, but with wolves (mostly different, but the plot is very similar).
