Death.

They choose to disregard everything
Allowing us to only borrow their eyes
Holding us back with tears
Not allowing a new set of thoughts to rest next to their own in your mind.

I looked up and what I saw froze my feet to the floor. I gasped harshly causing needles to stab at the back of my throat.

Ethan's standing on Highland Bridge at midnight, ready to end it all, when a girl appears out of nowhere with ice cream and zero intention of leaving him alone. Riley's either an angel or completely crazy - he hasn't decided which. But her offer is simple: give her until her birthday, just two months away, to prove life is worth something. The average human being spends every second of his day fighting against the force of nature to see another day. But I'm different. I'm not afraid of outside forces to take my life away - only myself. Approximately 10 years ago, something happened to me. Something really bad. But I'm not allowed to talk about it. Sweet Dreams
Monsters are everywhere, but the human ones are the worst. At least the Creatures of the Night don't kid almost families, friends, neighbors, coworkers. Once reborn they live in the night. Sure, they do all of the same twisted things that humans do to one another, but they don't hide who they are. When you see them you know death is coming. You can predict the sick things they will do to you. But when the monster looks human, you're blindsided. One minute you're in love with a guy and the next he's slitting your throat. Trust me, I speak from experience. Gruesome things that use to make me sick now makes my stomach flutter in joy. I traded charming grins and blue eyes for carved smilies and orbs of onyx. I traded sunlight for the glow of the moon. I gave up living amongst humans for creatures of the night. And I wouldn't go back for anything in the world. I am finally home. I've spent so much time running from monsters that it's my turn to do the chasing. Sweet Dreams...
