When Magic Once Existed

Nothing in life is ever fair. Getting abandoned by his parents as a baby, Jae has always had to fend for himself. Every day at the foster home he lives in is pure hell. But his whole life is about to change. As he faints in a library, he meets a strange man named Joseph Heiyl Lee in a hospital, who claims to be his uncle, and who explains to him that magic is real. Teaching it to Jae, Heiyl accidentally reveals that Jae's father was the most powerful mage to ever live. Hell-bent on finding out why his father had forsaken him all those years ago, Jae starts a journey across the multiverse, discovering the biggest secret his family has ever held, and the largest threat to everything in existence. Learning that his power is corrupting him from the inside, Jae desperately searches for a cure, while trying to save the world as we know it. What will happen? Will he triumph and save his soul? Or will he get killed and leave every universe to ever exist at the feet of a madman who can bend reality to his will?
