Atlas Johnson is a scholarship student at the elite all-girls school Everington, who studies as hard as everyone else likes to party. The girls at Everington tolerate her, but she has never been a part of their lifestyle.
When she discovers that her mother is struggling to make ends meet, she picks up a job at a nearby second-hand bookstore, and meets Mason Dolores. Mason goes to Covey Grammar School, the all-boys school down the road. Born into wealth, Mason is fed up with all the people that flock to him, wanting to be around him but never truly seeing him for who he is. Mason is intrigued by the quirky girl at the counter who he can't quite figure out.
One born from privilege and one just the opposite, maybe they're exactly what each other is looking for.
