On an earth-like planet with near-future technology, the latest major development in military technology is a single-man fighter with a new engine type that allows transfer between, and active combat in, planetary atmosphere and outer space. As tensions between the economic & political elite and the increasingly downtrodden workforce that forms the backbone of the world's commerce and industry reach a boiling point, this new aircraft is the sword and shield of the various factions vying for control over the soul of humanity. Among it all, six female pilots come together around their charismatic captain to form the only all-female squadron of fighters, helping one another achieve their dreams and navigate the twisting maze of military life and culture.
