This is a science fiction novel, where those with supernatural powers are not seen as heroes. Taken to a lab called Charterfolt they are sorted into high, middle, and lower class powers. Discover how "these mindre" figure out there place in society. Matthan Lane is an arrogant boy who believes he is right above all else. Being placed in a school for Mindre, separated from 'people' he is the highest ranked. With an impressive score of 9.8, he is above everyone else with his ability to control electricity. When the government goes into his school and takes him away to Charterfolt he realizes his number isn't all the impressive. The lab itself is horrible, they starve this Mindre in hopes that they wont have enough energy to use their ability and test their scores once every two weeks. Matthan must find a way out, of course his own personality and distrust towards the others in the lab hold him back.
