Rachel was born into a world entirely ruled by vampires. She lived her days being held captive in the Auction House, praying someone would come and take her away but when she finally gets that chance she instantly regrets ever wanting this life.
Emanuel is a vampire, born to rule. He is the prince among his people and although very strict, seems kind enough. But only on the outside. When he buys Rachel his whole world shifts sideways and topples over. What kind of hold does this human girl possess over him?
Right off the bat Rachel hates Emanuel. He's cold, distant, harsh and sometimes abusive. Can she survive him?
