This is a poem I wrote for my World Lit class. The assignment was the write a found poem based on the story "Shooting an Elephant" by George Orwell. A found poem is when you only use words used by the original author(which I followed loosely lol). "Shooting an Elephant" was written in 1936 and Orwell tells the real story of how his job as a British Imperial Officer led to him shooting an innocent elephant to impress the natives of Burma. It is a really good short story and I suggest you all go read it:) Enjoy!! Please comment some constructive criticisms and let me know if you like it!All Rights Reserved

English GCSE AQA: Comprehensive Analysis of the Power and Conflict Poems by shadytoffee

I decided to make a book on all the Power and Conflict poems for the English GCSE exams. NOTE: This book's analyses are very long and wordy due to much information from different sources. Although they are segmented, some may not find too much comfortable, so I've linked main the main resources I've gotten and have attached video analyses from mrbruff, a youtuber known for analyses. Sources are from multiple websites (e.g. BBC.com, madameanglaise.wordpress.com, poemanalysis.com, shmoop.com), which I have combined to make the ultimate revision book pretty much, so please don't get angry at me for copying. Whilst this is all happening, Yandere/Yumi is starting to think she's going crazy when she has suicidal thoughts and she seems to be finding it hard to not pick up a knife and slice it through her body. This book contains: -rape -fights -suicide and instrusive thoughts -sex -snogging (kissing in a heated way) I think that's all? Also, you should probably read the first (The Return Of Them) book first but if you can't be bothered then it should be OK though I don't know.
