Tobias leaves Abnegation behind to escape for a new life, but in the process he left behind his younger sister.
Life after her brother left became much harder, dealing with Marcus's physical, mental and now sexual abuse.
She finds out that she is Divergent and that she is in danger. But is she in more danger being divergent or being alone with Marcus.
It's her turn choose which faction she wants to go to. When she transfers to Dauntless she reunites with her brother and meets the youngest leader of Dauntless Eric.

"There is a chasm between us, a gaping schism that only seems to widen as hard as we try to close the distance. Someday, our combined efforts to reach each other again will lead us both into the abyss." After an overthrow of the unwanted factionless government, the war in Chicago is over.
