I could promise you that I'll be a happy, skinny, beautiful, amazing, talented, girl... but then I'd be lying to myself.

Mable Anne Carson is the main topic. She's loved by her parents because she was a miracle baby. She's loved by her older brother because she was technically his birthday gift. She's loved by her friends because she's amazing. She's loved by her teachers because she's smart and a hard worker. She's also loved by the theater department because she's a hella good actress. But... she's not loved... by herself. Mable suffers from a common thing called Self Discrimination. This is such a common thing that people joke about it, push it to the side, and don't think about it until it burst through the wall they've built up. Whenever someone compliments her she doesn't believe it. She throws a compliment their way and doesn't think twice about what they just said to her. She doesn't need a prince charming, although one may just randomly appear. What she needs is time to realize that she is gorgeous. Inside and out. She needs to take her own advice and love herself.
