In the realm above clouds, where gods rule with elegance and cruelty, Li Wuyuan, the powerful and enigmatic Heavenly Emperor, sits upon a throne of jade and fire. At his side is Noble Consort Xuanji, his cherished childhood friend-a man gentle in manner, yet veiling a mysterious past beneath his calm smile. When a celestial decree demands balance between yin and yang in the imperial harem, Wuyuan shocks heaven and earth by choosing a mortal as his Empress: General Yue, a renowned war hero from the human realm. But Yue has one more thing which makes him different, he is a Ger, a rare male blessed and cursed with the ability to bear children. Summoned to the golden palaces of the sky, Yue finds himself not only in the role of Empress, but a political pawn amid divine tensions. In a palace where love is politics and truth is weaponized, can three souls-tangled by fate, longing, and loss-change the destiny written in heaven's stars?
