**excerpt**

"I'm moving." I mumbled,

"What when?" His eyes were filled with shock. I should have told him sooner. I shouldn't have waited so long.

"To-tomorrow." I felt a lump form in my throat.

"You mean to a different house right? One closer to mine?" I could tell he was just trying to make himself feel better.

"I'm moving to Chicago Illinois, as in the Untied States."

"Why didn't you tell me Kat?" His light green eyes filled with pain and betrayal.

"A I-Im so sorry," He was shutting down I could see it. His eyes grew gaurded and his face blank.

"Don't." He put his hand up to stop me. His eyes closed. "Just don't. I'll see you off tomorrow. I just need a little time. And if I miss you I'll call." He then climbed in his car and drove away.

We moved because after my mom divorced my dad she met this guy Mark and she remarried him, So we moved in with him and his devil of a daughter. My mother has spent years shaping me to a perfect Barbie. But I can break free from her rule, with a little help from a little band, maybe you've heard of them...
