When Lainey loses her mom, she doesn't know how to cope. So she does what she would normally do. She keeps going on with her life; school and homework. But it's not that simple. She can't keep going when she is broken. Right when she feels like she can't keep going she meets Jason. Jason is sweet, kind, and funny. Lainey has build her walls up so that she can't get hurt anymore, but Jason is determined to break those walls. Can Lainey let her guard down and let herself fall or is she to broken?
