Poetry
I started writing out poetry/quotes/my feelings in 2018 when I was 15. I had gotten into writing short stories and I was told they were a quite poetic way of writing. So I started an instagram account for my writing and would post small pieces there. Now, in 2025, I'm 22 and it's been almost exactly 7 years since I started writing poetry in this way, and I went onto that account and was going to delete it as I don't post there anymore. When I had the idea that I'd write them all out in one place for safe keeping. Soon that turned into almost 10k words on a word-document. Then, as I was telling my boyfriend this, he said it was a poetic bit of science that it was 7 years, as on a cellular level, I'm not the same person I was 7 years ago, (which is more or less true depending on what cells we are talking about), but I thought this was cool anyway, since the difference between being a 15-year-old and a 22-year-old is quite drastic. Your brain is different, your body, your skillsets, your mindsets. And you can tell all that thoughout this book. Going back though all of the entries were a bit cringe, but I still like them because that's what the 15-year-old Claire was thinking. Maybe in another 7 years, the 29-year-old claire will think the same about now. I hope you enjoy. Sincerely, 22-year-old Claire <3 --- Copyright, All rights reserved

❝In my mind, there is pain. I am exhausted. I feel defeat from my hair tips to my feet- my body feels the stress weighing down on my shoulders. I try and try every day, but nothing seems to go my way. In my mind, there is pain, yet I try because one day, I will feel great. The body, mind, and soul are connected, and it is up to us to determine how to respect them.❞ - Me These writings are my observations and perspectives, some full of laughter and fun, others painful and dark, suffocating, leaving me with nowhere to run. ✿✿✿✿✿✿✿ A collection of unedited poems I wrote extemporaneously (ages 16-18), as well as a chockfull of quotes.
