In 2022, a virtual reality massively multiplayer online role-playing game (VRMMORPG) called Sword Art Online (SAO) is released. With the NerveGear, a helmet that stimulates the user's five senses via their brain, players can experience and control their in-game characters with their minds. Both the game and the NerveGear were created by Akihiko Kayaba.
The original storyline and characters are owned by Reki Kawahari besides my Oc's. There will be alot of spoilers for those who want or haven't finish the anime/manga. You have been warned.

Sword Art Online have been released to the public and a lot of people who bought the game enjoy a open world game where they fight monsters, gather gears and XP's and becoming the best players they can ever be. Kirito and I collapse out of breath, the sign above us screams 'Winner' as he defeated the boss of floor 11. "We did it." I say in between breaths. "Yeah.. well done." Kirito replies as he sat up. What looks to be a wonderful world spawned from the genius mind of Kayaba Akihiko, the creator of the Nerve Gear, however soon turns out to be an elaborate ruse since on the first day of public access, players discover they cannot log out, as the game creator is holding them captive unless they reach the 100th floor of the game's tower and defeat the final boss.
