In this world, it takes place inside of a computer simulation but people aren't aware of it. They were born to believe that they are real people but in reality just ones and zeroes. These "characters" are run by files that exist inside the computer so if one file was deleted that person would be removed from the digital world, gone forever. But no deaths have occurred at all so far today in their society. Yet.
