The Carter family was no stranger to death, even if they didn't know it. When Eleanor Carter's father dies suddenly she, her younger sister, and her mother move from New York City to West Virginia into an old family cottage. Little does she know a murder happened 200 years ago. When her mother has to go back to New York a series of strange events start to happen. First, Ellie swears the house caretaker is hiding something. Then, Ellie sees a woman singing outside in a bloody nightgown. When Ellie's sister, Annie, gets sucked into this odd new world Ellie must find a way to save her and solve the 200 year old cold case mystery.
