"Ask." he whispers breaking into my thoughts. I take a deep breath. I finally gain the courage.
"Do you think it's over?" I finally get out. He meets my eyes and slowly shakes his head.
"No."
"Will it ever be?" I ask.
Truthfully, I'm scared of what his answer ends up being. Silence fills the air of the short distance between us. Is he going to answer me? If so, why is he hesitating?
"Sean?" I question.
He sighs touching his hand to my cheek. I shift my gaze down as he cups the pendant hanging gently from my necklace, then lets it drop back to down to my chest. He looks back up at me and I bite my lip.
"I don't know. I wish I had more to say. I wish I could tell you that it'll all be ok. But I don't know."
