This book is about a boy who lives in a world where almost everyone can turn one type of animal. The few who cannot are called Nonews, and they are placed at the bottom of society, the weak. There are a few at the very top of the spectrum, who can turn into multiple animals, there are even less of them than Nonews.
Pierre is a French boy of the age of 16 living with Nonews. When he turns into a black cat on the night of his birthday, he finds out that he is not actually a Nonew. The next day he turns into a hawk and realises he is more than just a normal person in society. When someone burns his house down and starts trying to capture him, he follows the clues left behind by his parents, with the help of his best friend Adalene, to find out why.
Warning: There will be some French words but I will put in a translation near it so you understand what it says.
Story might be mature with violence/language, but you decide. :)

Then we have the felines: the Panthers, the Tigers, the Cougars, the Snow Leopards, the Cheetahs, and the Lions. Then we have our canines: the wolves, the foxes, the coyotes, and the hyena's. Are common because there are the mythical ones too. The flying creatures: the Hippogriffs, the Dragons, the Pegasus's, the Phoenixes, the Thunderbirds. The water creatures: the Sirens, the Mermaids, the Kelpies. The shapeshifting academy is kind of like Hogwarts with the letters and using owls for sending mail. Yes, there is a castle for the academy and no, there isn't any witch or wizards those are supposedly extinct. Now I have to go were going to find out what animal we shift into at the ceremony soon. If only I knew then that there was actually 23 types of shifters ~~~~~~~~~~ I wrote this series when i was very young, so any mistakes or grammar issues, or long descriptions, I am sorry about, but I won't be fixing them anytime soon either.Complete
