Gerard Way has always watched people. Observing how they act, and what body language they use. He notices everything from the way a person moves their lips, to the way their brows furrow at the mention of their past mistakes. However, he has never fit in, and no one has ever noticed him closely observing them. Until the day a boy with a certain lip ring fancys to observe Gerard instead of the other way around.

Though, he has a bit of an edgy attitude most people learn to respect. There's more to Gerard than what the outside shows. His brother Mikey and best friend Ray know glimpses of how he really feels, and how complications from the past really fuck with his behavior. But, their differences don't keep them apart considering these strangers are forced into each other's lives when Gerard finds Frank attempting to commit suicide.
