Her days are consistently the same until one day when she is out shopping with her cousin, she stumbles into a friend. A friend that has always been a part of her life, her families life and is almost a permanent fixture in her life.
Jonah is a prince who is fourth in line for the kingdom of Arque, the son of the Terrance and Miranda Waeston. His father who is the right hand man to the queen of the realm, expects great things from his first born child, to carry on in his footsteps. His days are spent wishing he had a choice in his employment and lurking in the shadows of the dark being safe haven known as mid jump. Lurking in the shadows watching a friend.
Their mothers, Lilly the vampire of war and Miranda the phoenix vampire fulfilled a prophecy and saw the decline of a slayer and his followers when Ivy and Jonah were children. The prophecy that had predicted the future of their first born children.
Ivy and Jonah's path was always destined to weave in and out of each others lives, their families were close, they were royalty and their kingdoms were no longer separated by great expanses of land now that they had mid jump. But in one fateful day, one of them plucks up the courage to move their friendship to the next level. One of them sets the wheels in motion that would fulfill their part of the prophecy. Will it be everything they had hoped for or will it lead their lives down a dark path?
