Ali Alverez was an unfortunate, poor woman. She had seen the worst of it all and struggled each day to support her little brother and her own husband. She went through an almost never-ending battle with her husband and when she thought she couldn't be more miserable, he turned on her. Now, forced into an abusive relationship, she leaves her home to set out on a journey. This journey was her dream of becoming a makeup artist.
With no help besides from her father, who was in the same boat as her, Ali has to do it all on her own.
She had always thought she knew her roots, she knew who she was. She was wrong. With all of the commotion and abuse, Ali turns to an alter-ego, Ali Striker, who is much more daring and bold than she thought she could ever be. She becomes a lie, a ruthless person, and a swindle as the world gets to her head.
Though pain can be concealed, it can never be immortally smoldered and would cause her to crash and burn until she meets Michael.
He was soft and sweet, and nothing like her violent husband. Her husband's constant controlling and demanding ways forced her to seek comfort in Michael. But, they could never be. She unwillingly falls for him, and his friendship quickly escalates into so much more inside.
Her husband forbids her from even making human contact with Michael, once he saw him as a threat. But, Ali couldn't stay away. Her husband was no match and he would be taken down, and her walls and chains would break with Michael's help.
Michael was all her heart called for and even through the toughest times and the greatest obstacles, Love will find a way.
