Seventeen year old Eliza Sanford had learned a great deal of things as she grew up, one thing she learned is that it's hard to let go of everything you've ever known.

When coastal California begins to experience major flooding she and her family are forced from their home further inland to a hot, dry town named North Fork. Years later and Eliza still yearns to return to her home, the sea, and all she had left behind.
With problems at home becoming increasingly frustrating, Eliza and her best friend Will are determined to make their way back home and find what is really going on. On their arrival, they find something even Eliza may not be prepared to encounter.
