Alpha and the Rogue

She used to be a human. That is until two men took her from her less than perfect life and made it worse. After months of pain, torture, and being the subject to two crazy men's scientific experiments she wakes up in another body. This new body is stronger than she could ever imagine and faster than she ever thought possible. Escaping from the madmen should have been her most difficult obstacle to overcome but now she must learn the ways of a strict species that, to her, didn't exist until now. She is considered by packs as a rogue wolf. One that has probably done despicable things to a pack to get tossed out. In this time, female wolves are rare as their spirit had been pushed down and dominated long before by the males. In order to survive this world and keep her freedom she learns to stay away from packs that might want to keep her for her ability to have pups and to fight off the rogues she stumbles upon that might want her for themselves.

She learns quickly to trust her instincts. Instincts like the ones that tell her not to go on land that doesn't feel right. So she doesn't. She stays off of the land that seems to be claimed and protected. One day she is traveling to a new city after getting bored of the last one when she finds that there is only 25 miles in between two areas that both feel claimed by other wolves. Her instincts tell her to turn back and find another way, but something else tells her to keep going forward.

Forward leads her to a narrow strip of land between two packs that both despise rogue wolves. She tries to stay as far from each territory as she can but is soon surrounded by eight angry wolves. "I was not trespassing, I am only trying to get through this area to the next city." She tells the men as one goes behind a tree to shift. She should've known that a pack wouldn't let a female wolf with no claims on her go free.
