In a world where magic and dragons do exist, the top of them all are dragon riders that attend Atlantia Magic Academy. THE CHOOSING Every year, 20 boys that are 16 years old, are chosen to become dragon riders. Out of the 5 main villages, families send their sons there of a hope that they are a dragon rider, but only 4 exist in each village each year. Mages of all magic types are chosen to attend Atlanita Magic Academy if they can light up the dragon stone a certain color. There has never once been a female dragon rider or a female mage with enough power to effectively cast a worthy spell of the chosen to go to Atlantia Magic Academy. Summer Grey, a regular girl in her village. She is kind, friendly, and joyful. No one wants to get on her bad side, let alone no one thinks she has one. Everyone thinks she is a normal girl, but she is hiding her true self around everyone. She only ever uses her power if it is truly needed. From a distant land, the Snake Kingdom managed to bypass the Leviathan, and invade these five territories! Under the guidance of General Clauve, they crushed everyone in sight, until their only remaining opponent was Celestia. But they made a mistake, and Celestia capitalized. In a crushing defeat, the Snake Kingdom was bested after nearly 8 years of conflict. After the war ended, Albedo Aria, a soldier from Celestia, was promoted to the rank of General. But she didn't feel like a hero. Suffering from severe PTSD, this story follows her as she tries to overcome the nightmares of war, and move on from the terrible things she was forced to do. She was raised to be a soldier, and joined the war from the age of eleven. As a soldier of Celestia, she could never, and still cannot ever disobey any orders. When war calls, she must answer. Whether she is truly willing to or not. But after four years without conflict, surely things couldn't reach that state again? Or perhaps that isn't the case. After all, her dear cousin must deliver a letter to her. A letter telling her that the Snake Kingdom is on the rise in their very own land. A letter telling her that every sliver of happiness she has gained after the war ended will be lost. A letter telling her that she must return to war...
